About Us

Närhälsan Sisjön Health Center, with approximately 7,300 registered residents, is located in western Gothenburg with proximity to nature and services.

Our bright and spacious premises with good parking facilities are adjacent to a shopping center that includes a large grocery store and several restaurants.

We are a competent and well-knit team with good medical staffing and a broad range of expertise in internal medicine, allergology, geriatrics, and emergency medicine, as well as research. We now have the opportunity to expand our team and further develop our unit. We work together with our skilled and experienced nurses and our psychosocial team, including psychologists, care coordinators, and rehabilitation coordinators.

Our medical clinic has a well-equipped operating room for the surgically inclined general practitioner, and through the midwifery clinic in the same premises, there is access to a gynecological examination room. We also have a mole clinic where we perform cryotherapy. In the same premises, we have our well-functioning and popular child health clinic as well as medical foot care. We collaborate with home care services and regularly visit a nursing home.

About the Job

Your tasks at the health center will span a wide range and include general medical competence with patients of all ages and situations. You will work with outpatient care and digital healthcare meetings in primary care.

Your responsibilities also include care for special housing and home healthcare, where you work person-centered and proactively in a team with nurses. The work will consist of risk assessments, care plans, and medication reviews for our patients with extensive care and support needs. The assignment may also involve home healthcare for another health center to some extent.

The role also includes supervision of ST, AT, and BT doctors as well as medical students, as it is an important part of our mission to educate tomorrow's healthcare professionals.

About You

You are a licensed physician with specialist training in general medicine and authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, at a minimum level of C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement for the position.

You will have close collaboration with the municipality and other healthcare partners, and it is of utmost importance that you genuinely care about maintaining good relationships with them. In your work, you will meet many patients with different needs, and therefore it is important that you are accommodating and attentive, as well as having a willingness and commitment to help others. We are looking for someone who wants to work for the best interests of the residents through treatment, advice, and health-promoting work.
